On the other side of the rental property discussion are good landlords being let down by unmotivated tenants.
Landlords often see mould issues highlighted, and yes, some cases are terrible. But many are simply cases of the tenants’ lack of personal care and knowledge.
My own home would suffer mould if I never opened my windows to air the place out. But I do, and the mould hates it.
Mould can be cleaned relatively easily, but some tenants seem to prefer to watch it grow. They then complain about it, never thinking to clean it.
