About us
We’re a local association for all things property investment in Canterbury. We’re composed of over 400 members who have an interest in property investment, whether residential or commercial.
We’re administrated by a voluntary executive committee elected via democratic proceedings each July. We were the first property investors’ association in New Zealand, starting in the early 1970s out of a need to get landlords’ voices heard. Other similar associations soon started around the country, and in the late 1970s a national federation was formed.
Our investors are young and more mature, first-time investors and seasoned professionals. They may have one rental property or 50+, but they all have one thing in common: a passion for property investment.
The goal of CPIA is to inform and support our members, and provide insight to take their property investment to the next level. Plus, we offer our members exclusive access to a raft of benefits.
